As an Applications Development Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting and developing our diverse product portfolio, ensuring we remain at the forefront of innovation.
What You'll Do:
Innovate and Test:Lead the experimental testing and development of new products.
Electronics Development:Design and test electronic components to enhance our products.
Software Development:Develop and test embedded software and user interfaces.
Data Collection:Perform performance characterization and collect critical data.
Customer Engagement:Conduct industry trials, product demos, and provide on-site customer training and troubleshooting.
Compliance and Safety:Ensure all work meets engineering specifications and promotes a culture of safety.
Collaborate:Assist in various R&D and company-wide activities.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications:
A-Level in Maths or Physics
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year as an Electronic Engineer
Minimum of 1 year in automation
Desirable: Experience in the vacuum engineering industry and customer-facing roles
Skills and Aptitudes:
High proficiency in IT systems
Innovative design thinking
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Solution-driven mindset and excellent report writing skills
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel internationally
Desirable: Background in Physics or Mathematics, knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, microelectronics design, and programming languages (BASIC, C++, Visual Basic)
