Role description
This role will be report directly to Group Legal Director, providing high-quality support in legal administration for a wide variety of matters at JSM Group. This role would suit a talented and experienced Paralegal looking for variety and to build up their experience.
General duties:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as legal counsel, executives, and business development teams.
Conduct thorough legal analysis and risk assessment of contract terms and conditions.
Advise and guide internal teams on compliance with contract obligations and restrictions.
Legal administrative support to the Group Legal Director
Management of end-to-end signature process, including sending agreements for signature and countersignature, managing signature process through to completion, ensuring signed agreements are dated and filed.
Manage the Legal inbox and allocate and matters and queries within the team effectively and promptly
Developing a knowledge of non-contentious construction via drafting construction documents under the supervision of the Group Legal Director and subsequently issuing contracts via e-mail and chasing responses
Developing a knowledge of contentious construction law and assisting a partner in dealing with litigation proceedings
Assist with updating templates and precedent documents
Compliance with all company Policies & Procedures
Support with any ad hoc duties as and when required
Drafting and reviewing of legal documents, including letters, notices, collateral warranties, minor works building contracts and other documents.
Researching for legal cases
Preparing legal documents
Handling confidential client or case information
Creating reports for Group Legal Director based on case specifications
Conducting interviews with clients and providing them with legal information
Monitoring changes to government guidelines or regulations and submitting reports on relevant changes
Undertaking general office work
Manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines
Manage the Legal inbox and allocate and matters and queries within the team effectively and promptly
Conduct initial reviews of requests and ensure documents are attached, requests are complete, necessary approvals have been sought

You will be confident in working on legal tasks in other areas of Law, inclusive of drafting initial correspondence, engagement letters and preparing legal documentation.
