Job Description
What will you be doing?
As a Mechanical Design Engineer (Aircraft seating) , you will join Cwmbran team to support our activities within the Aerospacesector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Develop and refine detailed models of various aircraft seating components to meet specific programme requirements.
Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise designs for seating elements.
Conduct analyses to ensure optimal balance between performance, cost, and weight for seating components.
Analyse validation results, identify potential issues, and implement design improvements to ensure product reliability and safety.
Who are we looking for?
Ensure material and process choices meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements for aircraft seating.
Ensure all design elements comply with relevant aerospace industry standards and regulations.
Participate in product validation activities, including prototyping, testing, and conducting Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.
Experience in cabin interiors, seats and car infotainment systems is preferrable.
Knowledge of Catia or similar work package.
