Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Installation Engineer to join an extremely reputable, family-run SME based in Hereford. As an Electrical Installation Engineer your role will be to conduct installation, maintenance and repairs to Fire Alarms, Fire extinguishers and other life safety systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to perform fault finding and emergency call outs.
You will be joining an independently-owned manufacturer, importer, and supplier of life-saving and fire protection equipment. The role will primarily be field-based, with most works taking place within a designated radius. Travel expenses will be covered, and a company vehicle will be provided. The nature of the job may require occasional travel and overnight stays.
Key Duties and Responsibilities of an Electrical Installation Engineer:
Conducting engineering activities, including maintenance, installation and testing across customer services contracts, covering multiple customers with a focus on trouble shooting and resolving issues efficiently
Installation of extinguishers and temporary wireless alarm systems
Maintenance of fire extinguishers and wireless alarm systems
Representing the company to a high standard whilst carrying out daily duties
Ensuring all mandatory training, accreditations and admin are kept up to date
Maintaining accurate van stock levels of equipment and tooling, reporting any deficiencies
Requirements
Excellent organisational skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Experienced in fire protection systems with the relevant safety qualifications
A flexible attitude to support changing business objectives in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
BS 5306 (Extinguishers) (Desirable)
BS 5389 (Fixed Systems) (Desirable)
Asbestos awareness, Manual Handling, IOSH, CSCS (Desirable)
DBS may be required for some sites
Flexible with travel and overnight stays
Working hours: On Site 8am-4pm
