As a Mental Health Support Mentor, you’ll deliver excellent support to young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs in an alternative education provision in Northumberland. The pupil Referral Unit (PRU) supports students’ day to day transition back into mainstream education, with a focus on a child-centred and trauma informed approach. Your job would be to work 1-1 and in small groups under direction of the teacher to encourage, motivate and support students through their education. This role is a great opportunity for those with relevant experience such as:
- Those from a background in education, care or the support of vulnerable people.
- Graduates from Psychology, Criminology, Sociology.
- Educators wanting to gain SEN/SEMH experience
Pay between up to £500 per week, experience dependent.
You will need to have suitable references and a DBS certificate (or be eligible to apply).
