Accounts Administrator

Industry: Retail

Location: Newport, Isle of Wight

Hours: 8am - 5pm

Days: 3 - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Responsible for the day to day accounts duties including:

Sales ledger, sending invoices, statements, processing and allocation of payments, credit control and liaison with clients to resolve issues.

Purchase ledger, checking and coding invoices, processing payments, liaison with suppliers over discrepancies, bank reconciliations.

Cash reconciliations, preparing floats and banking,

Liaison with Accountants for VAT, PAYE/ Payroll and Year End Returns.

Experience:

Must have a good level of computer literacy including MS Excel, Outlook and Word, plus the ability to learn new systems.

Must have a good communication and organisational skills, strong numeracy, high level accuracy and the ability to work to deadlines.

Must be able to work well on own initiative, as well as part of a small team.

Hybrid working may be available but the candidate is required to be Island based.

Salary: up to £13.50 per hour worked, dependent upon experience.
