What You'll Be Doing

  1. Develop/interpret written/verbal business requirements and technical specification documents and seek clarification as and where necessary.
  2. Perform software development to written technical specifications working within the company’s quality processes.
  3. Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates & techniques.
  4. Maintain watching brief on development of new technologies, techniques and methodologies.
  5. Work closely and collaboratively with the Software Architect and other team members.
  6. Identify and correct reported defects in collaboration with the Software Test Team.
  7. Travel as individual projects necessitate (minimal).

What You Need to Succeed

  1. Bachelor's degree in electronics, physics, computer science or another relevant engineering related degree, or significant industry experience.
  2. Effective in analysing situations, solving problems and clarifying/summarising key issues.
  3. Strong interest in new technology.
  4. Minimum of 3 years hand-on experience of commercial C# .NET development within a busy team environment (strong C++/OOP developers will be considered and training provided to accelerate transition to C#).
  5. A strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack.
  6. Experience of software development using Microsoft Visual Studio & Azure DevOps Server.
  7. Good knowledge of the .NET framework (4.6 and later, .NET Core or .NET Standard).
  8. A full understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design.
