We’re looking for a motivated and friendly Sustainability Coordinator to work as part of our Facilities Team and in line with our vision to become the Best Event Campus in Europe.
The Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for working in the Facilities Team to help deliver the following:
Support the development and implementation of our ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO20121 Sustainable Events Management System.
Support the development of our waste and energy management strategies.
Support the delivery of internal and client sustainability initiatives.
Conducting environmental legal compliance inspections including waste duty of care.
Develop engaging training material and communications for internal teams.
Continuously develop our sustainability strategy, track progress against targets and supporting the development of annual action plans.
Analyse and interpret utility and waste data and report to internal teams and event clients.
Engage with event clients and our key partners on delivering events sustainably.
Investigate innovative solutions and life cycle analysis to reduce materials used onsite and waste generated.
Coordinate team meetings on energy management, EMS development and team engagement.
Collaborate with onsite departments to review current procedures and work practices to reduce waste, increase energy efficiency and investigate least environmental impactful solutions.
Work with our waste handling partners to monitor and track waste management compliance.

Degree in Environmental Management or equivalent.
Relevant experience in a sustainability focused role.
Passion for sustainability and environmental management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work across multiple projects at the same time.
Work well in a team but also self-driven to investigate and deliver own projects.
Able to think creatively, questioning conventional practices and ways of working.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Membership of IEMA.
