Project Operations Manager
Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
Job Description
As the first hire in our Operations Team, you will play a key part in helping us shape our processes and systems as we continue to grow our business across the UK and Europe.
At Startium, we help universities, colleges, and economic development organisations connect the ambition of their communities to a world of opportunity.
We do this via our suite of software products for university entrepreneurship teams, economic developers and enterprise support organisations.
Our products help these teams provide the right support at the right time to aspiring innovators and entrepreneurs by helping to scale services, maximise efficiencies and measure impact.
It is an exciting time to join our team, as we work towards launching new products in the UK and begin to trade in new European markets. You will have a hands-on role from day one, helping our small team establish systems and processes for our sales, marketing and customer success functions.
While you will work primarily with our Directors in the UK you will also experience working in a global team, be part of a growing startup based in Northern Ireland and benefit from a generous investment in your training and development, led by you and your interests.
We are looking for someone who is happy to work independently and is seeking an opportunity to get stuck into a role where they will see the impact of their work and be rewarded accordingly.
This role offers someone the opportunity to improve the efficiency, productivity, and the way we work as a company, while also directly working with our clients to maximise their results and satisfaction. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys both technical behind-the-scenes work and is also confident interacting with and supporting clients directly.
You will be responsible for carrying out key administrative and co-ordination tasks that support the development and delivery of our core products and services. You will also be expected to spot problems and opportunities for improvement, generate ideas to respond to these and play a key role in nurturing our relationships with our clients.
On the business operations side of the role, you will offer operational and administrative support to the Managing Director but also have regular opportunities to undertake creative projects related to ecosystem development and product design. This role would suit someone who has experience in technical project management but also enjoys exercising their creativity to solve problems or spot opportunities.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and primarily work remotely, from home or a location of your choice (we know some good co-working spaces in Lanzarote!). However, flexibility will be expected, with the requirement to attend in-person meetings or events across Northern Ireland and the UK from time to time.
