My client is seeking a Finance Assistant to manage their accounts processes efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will be responsible for invoice processing, bank reconciliations, maintaining payment schedules, and ensuring accurate financial transactions within their accounting system.
This is a temporary position, initially for 3 months with potential for permanent for the right candidate!
Day-to-day of the role: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing and verification against purchase orders.
Perform bank reconciliations and post transactions to Sage accounting software.
Maintain a monthly direct debit schedule and contribute to the weekly cash flow forecasting.
Ensure timely addition of payments to the payment run, checking due dates, and following up on overdue payments.
Conduct a weekly Bacs payment run to settle invoices.
Post invoices and credit notes accurately to maintain up-to-date financial records.
Reconcile supplier accounts against statements received and resolve any discrepancies.
Review staff expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and addressing any issues.
