To provide financial analysis and business partnering to operational managers.
Assist cross functional stakeholders in the attainment of delivery and financial performance targets. This includes both delivery of cost and contract performance.
Manage internal and external relationships, identifying and implementing process improvements that will build and improve upon these relations.

Description
The Project Accountant duties will include, but will not be limited too, the below:
Work with head of department (HoD's) to develop and build the reporting and financial management of key contracts to support KPI delivery at strategic level.
Support the Head of Finance to drive improved delivery, utilisation and efficiency of finance processes and resources
Develop a framework of reporting with the delivery teams to understand contract performance and to coordinate and review against expected contract out turn.
Work to enhance business wide understanding of the contract's key performance indicators as part of the periodic reporting cycle to inform better business decisions.
Build strong strategic internal relationships with HoD's to ensure operational improvements and BAU meets business requirements.
Driving effective communication and ensuring timely and effective communication with key stakeholders.
Lead on business forecasting, with an active role in setting targets on costs, savings, opportunities etc. in line with contracted financial targets.
Providing the company and the customer with an expenditure framework, concise financial information to support short and long term financial targets along with accurate and actionable financial information.
Lead on continuous improvement of departmental and finance information processes through seeking to develop best practise and collaborate with peers, colleagues and customers to enhance overall performance.
Ensure quality of all communication and financial information to Hod's and business partners is consistently accurate.
Leading on adhoc project work to support the team as and when required.
Ensure a proactive, solution focused approach to the development and implementation of change initiatives.
Profile
The successful candidate will meet the below criteria to the best of their ability:
Part Qualified Accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ICAS
The role requires an individual with demonstratable previous experience within a business partnering and financial reporting role.
Experience within a large corporation dealing with multiple stakeholders.
IFRS 15 long term contract accounting knowledge desired.
Detailed experience on the use and knowledge of financial systems, understanding how to tailor reports to reduce reporting timelines.
Strong people skills and working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation in a collaborative environment.
Experience of managing and implementing change.
