Job Purpose

The role holder will be responsible and accountable for the implementation, development and support of Business Systems across the Orama Group. Following the Digital Strategy for Orama, the position will seek to implement best practice across a variety of business systems towards the creation of the envisioned Enterprise Architecture.

The role has functional responsibility for a small business systems team within Digital and Technology.

Working alongside the Head of Digital & Technology, Group IT Manager and Data Engineer the role will take ownership for Orama business systems including but not limited to Atlassian, NetSuite, Sage, HubSpot, Mago, Concur, Shepherd CMMS and supporting development of Microsoft 365 and Workato.

Functional Accountabilities

Promote the successful implementation of the digital transformation strategy.

Provide Project Management and Technical Lead function for all group Business System implementations.

Mentor the Business Analysis function in realising business requirements into actionable deliverables.

Manage vendor relationships related to Business Systems.

Identify, develop and implement change requirements to create an operationally excellent Business System.

Work closely with group stakeholders to identify continuous improvement opportunities aligned with group strategy.

Work closely with the Group IT Manager to effectively transition service of Business Systems developments to operationalised supportable components.

Support the Data Team in developing a group wide KPIs, Metrics and Reports.

Operationalise the support of Business Systems to the IT Support team.

Maintain a culture of observability ensuring the Digital and Technology team has a deep understanding of performance of its Business Systems.

Drive digital adoption of Business Systems to ensure operational excellence.

Support the Knowledge Management System with the required business processes and process mapping.

Continue to look externally for best practice and technological advancements in business systems.

Line management of the Business Systems team ensuring an effective mix of capacity management, on time delivery and development of the team.

Resolve stakeholder pressure on your team and conflict of priorities.

Maintain costs to agreed allocated product budgets.

Effective Business System management and auditing in accordance with Halma ICC, GDPR and ISO27001.

Provide monthly reports on department progress, service performance and key projects.

Standards of Performance

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Analytical critical thinking and problems solving skills and able to understand users concerns and problems.

Ensure service up time to agreed SLA’s and Business Continuity

Respond quickly and efficiently to incidents and high priority requirements.

Monthly reporting to Head of Digital & Technology on progress against objectives, sprints and KPIs including Change Project Success and Operationalised Resolutions.

All other objectives set by the Orama Senior Management Team to deliver the Orama Vision.

Skills / Experience

working within a medium sized digital team and line management of a small team.

implementing ERP / MRP / MES / CRM systems

Excellent working knowledge of SaaS applications, information security, user administration, databases and data storage systems.

Experience with SuiteCloud / SuiteScript desirable.

Firm grasp on ITIL and Prince2

Certified Practitioner or similar qualification in any of;

ITIL Practices (IT Infrastructure Library)

Prince 2 Agile Foundation

NetSuite Certified Administrator / Developer

Experience of Confluence and Jira or similar service desk technology
