Position: Head of Drama

School Type: Mixed, Secondary School
Contract Type: Permanent, part-time
Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays (the fourth day could be Thursday or Friday)
Start Date: June 2024 (September 2024 start will also be considered)
Are you passionate about drama education and ready to lead in a dynamic school environment? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head of Drama to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis (0.8 FTE).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the drama department, teaching key stages 3 and 4.
Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons that inspire and challenge students.
Plan and oversee drama productions and extracurricular activities.
Mentor and support colleagues in the drama department.
Contribute to the wider school community through drama events and initiatives.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching drama at key stages 3 and 4.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to continuous professional development and enhancing the drama curriculum.
