We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our manufacturing company on an interim basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to apply their accounting skills in a dynamic industry setting, with the potential to secure a permanent contract at the end of the assignment.
Day-to-day of the role: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Support the month-end and year-end close process.
Ensure the accuracy of financial documents, as well as their compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Prepare and maintain important financial reports.
Prepare tax documents and perform bookkeeping tasks.
Assist with budget preparation and monitor financial data.
Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
Develop and maintain internal control procedures.
Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or relevant role in accounting.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software.
Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) is advantageous.
