ApplauseIT are hiring for an Application Analyst to join a growing company within the Local Government Software sector. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for application support, troubleshooting, and customer service in a Windows-based environment.

The Role


As an Application Analyst, you will:
  1. Support client-server and web applications in a Windows Server environment.
  2. Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions for customers.
  3. Collaborate with project and delivery teams to onboard new customers.
  4. Work closely with the service desk to maintain hosted applications.
  5. Develop innovative solutions to improve service efficiency.
  6. Ensure security compliance and adhere to company policies.
  7. Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends.

What You'll Need


  1. 3+ years' experience in application support (client-server and web-based systems, e.g. Apache, IIS).
  2. Strong SQL database skills (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
  3. Knowledge of Windows Server and application deployment.
  4. Scripting experience (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS).
  5. Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls).
  6. Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
  7. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, Zabbix) is desirable.
  8. ITIL experience in incident, problem, and change management.
  9. Local government software experience is a plus but not essential.
