Managing Quantity Surveyor Overview
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor you will be a key member in the business focusing on the commercial and financial aspects of projects from inception to completion. This role involves managing project budgets, cost plans, and contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Managing Quantity Surveyor leads a team of quantity surveyors, provides strategic commercial insights, and maintains strong client and stakeholder relationships to ensure contractual and financial compliance and project success

esOversee commercial aspects of construction projects from inception to completio
n.Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standard
s.Conduct regular site visits and meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholder
s.Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecast
s.Monitor and control project costs, identifying and managing financial risks or opportunitie
s.Approve and certify contractor and supplier payment
s.Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and supplier
s.Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any contract variations or dispute
s.Maintain comprehensive contract documentation and record
s.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quantity surveyor
s.Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and deadline
s.Foster a collaborative and supportive team environmen
t.Provide accurate and timely commercial reports to senior managemen
t.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirement
s.Conduct regular audits and reviews of project finances and commercial processe
s.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholder
s.Act as the main point of contact for all commercial matters on assigned project

Requireme
ntsBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related fie
ld.Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferr
ed.Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction indust
ry.At least 5 years in a senior or management ro
le.Proven track record of successfully managing the commercial aspects of complex construction projec
ts.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement process
