Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in York who are recruiting a Finance Assistant to join their small and friendly team. This is a full-time and permanent position which offers hybrid working if desired. You will support the finance team by maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers. Candidates who are looking to take the next step from an administrative background and looking to step into accounts are encouraged to apply.
Location: York Salary: £23,396 Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4:30pm (37 hours)
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure invoices are processed correctly
Set up new supplier accounts
Create new customer accounts
Process invoices
Liaise with other offices to resolve queries
Reconciles supplier accounts
Maintain accurate records
Liaise with customers over payments and queries
Build strong relationships across departments and develop key relationships with colleagues
You will need to demonstrate:
Some experience working within a finance team/office environment
Use of Microsoft packages including Excel
Friendly and adaptable
Ability to manager workload and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
