As a Site Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
* Managing both Civil Engineering and asphalt surfacing contracts;
* Building strong working relationships with the wider team, Sub-Contractors and Clients;
* Communicating with the Client to solve problems on site or raise technical queries;
* Setting out and Surveying with Dumpy and Laser Levels, GPS and Total Station;
* Reading and manipulating AutoCAD drawings to accurately transfer information to site and preparing as-built drawings;
* Liaising with local authorities to ensure compliance with local construction regulations;
* Taking a proactive approach to managing Health & Safety on site;
* Preparing and delivering RAMS and Site Inductions.
* Keeping site records
* Managing Sub-Contractors’ performance;
* Recording and monitoring planned work versus actual;
* Managing resources on site so that the project is delivered on time.
* Take-offs and ordering of materials as required;
* Measuring completed work for preparation of Client Valuations and Sub-Contractor Payments.
Required Skills and Experience
* Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline;
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer to include Principal Contractor experience within Northern Ireland’s construction industry;
* Sound knowledge of Engineering, latest building regulations, legislation and Health and Safety;
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and surveying equipment;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Excellent attention to detail and meticulous planning and organisational skills;
* Full UK Driving License
