Sales Director

Reporting to the Managing Director, The Sales Director role is pivotal within Various Eateries and you will be responsible for the development and execution of the group sales strategy with a particular focus on our largest brand, Coppa Club.
You’ll be building and nurturing your team and developing and building our key relationships. The Sales Team is predominantly based in Berkshire, and the reservations team is London based, you will work closely with both teams to keep them motivated and supported around their targets.
This is a leadership position and we’ll be looking for strategic thinking combined with an ability to execute. You’ll couple that with solid experience and key contacts across hotel, wedding and corporate business. We’re excited to share what we’ve done and learn from you too.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's objectives. Identify market opportunities, formulate tactics, and set ambitious yet achievable sales targets.
Leadership : Recruit, train, mentor, and manage your sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, motivation, and collaboration. Set clear goal and KPIs and be seen as a leader to your team both within sales and reservations.
Market Analysis : Our team produce lots of good data and we’ll look to you to identify the opportunities and be thinking ahead to see where the gaps are and how we can fill them (in an on-brand way). We’d love you to understand industry trends and have a good knowledge of the competitive landscape so that you and the team have a solid picture of what is happening locally and where we drive opportunities.
Networking : Represent the company at industry events. Build and maintain a strong professional network to explore partnerships and opportunities.
Revenue Optimisation : Collaborate closely with the marketing, reservations and hotel teams to maximise revenue into various channels of our business, through pricing strategies, demand-forecasting, and product improvements.
Key Account Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients. There is a significant opportunity to build our corporate “black book” and grow that side of our business, alongside your colleagues in the sales team.
Sales Forecasting : Accurately forecast sales revenue and monitor progress toward targets. Implement corrective measures and adjustments as necessary to meet or exceed goals.
Sales Collateral and Marketing : Work with the marketing team on the development of persuasive sales collateral, presentations, and proposals. Ensuring the brand DNA is central to any campaigns and activations.
Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities and provide updates for the monthly Board meeting.
Budget Management : Manage your departments budget, including expenses related to sales trips, events, and promotions and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Qualifications :
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales, including 2 years in a leadership or Director-level role.
Direct experience in hotel, wedding, corporate events and reservations. Not necessarily all areas but ideally 2 of the 4.
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales revenue targets.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a talent for building and motivating teams.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales-related platforms. Ideally would include platforms relating to hotel revenue and operations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment or experience in a multi-brand group.
