About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee the internal aspects of volume build residential projects across London. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing large-scale residential developments, focusing on the internal finishes, ensuring high-quality standards, and delivering on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring smooth execution of internal works, including plastering, painting, flooring, and installation of fixtures and fittings.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all internal works meet the required standards and specifications.
* Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations on-site, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
* Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved.
* Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed work schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary to meet project deadlines.
* Cost Management: Monitor project costs, ensuring that all works are completed within the allocated budget. Identify and address any financial discrepancies promptly.
* Problem Solving: Identify potential issues or delays and develop proactive solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
* Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or queries.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager on volume build residential projects, with a focus on internal works.
* Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
* Skills:
* Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials related to residential interiors.
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
* Proficient in project management software and tools.
* Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications in health and safety (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS) are required.
