Reception Supervisor (Maternity Cover 12 months)

MAIN JOB PURPOSE: To provide an efficient and courteous service to guests at all times

This role requires natural professionalism to ensure a seamless experience and with a desire to create a relaxed environment for our guests. You will work closely with your team and the other departments to ensure all team members are knowledgeable in the day-to-day business, events, VIPs and special requests and are able to trust their instincts and use their initiative when making decisions around our guests needs.

You will be a confident supervisor and communicator with the ability to build strong rapports with a range of departments. Our Reception Supervisor will continually develop their expertise, support and help to build a team who are able to deliver the unexpected and coach them to maximise revenue with upselling opportunities.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

To promote positive working relationships with the team members of the Rooms department, and with other departments such as Reservations, Finance, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.

To perform duty manager shifts, which will involve being a first point of contact for associates and guests, communicating effectively between departments, and maintaining the health and safety of the daily operation.

To actively promote a safe working environment on a day-to-day basis, ensuring associates are adhering to health and safety policies and procedures

To be actively involved in all Rooms promotions, internally and externally and ensure good communication within the Hotel.

To ensure the Front Office Team are fully aware and briefed of all promotional activity within the Food and Beverage outlets and actively informing guests on arrival.

What are we looking for?

Experience in a related activity in the hospitality sector.

Fluency in English, additional language would be a plus.

Knowledge of the Operasystem

The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
