We are seeking an Assistant Director of Employee Relations to provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of employee relation matters and people management. This role is integral to ensuring our College’s people policies and procedures are current, compliant with employment law, and reflective of best practice initiatives.
Day-to-day of the role: Develop and implement employee relations strategies, policies, and programs in alignment with the College’s goals and values.
Serve as the primary contact for employee grievances, complaints, and concerns, ensuring prompt and fair resolution.
Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, maintaining fairness, impartiality, and legal compliance.
Line manage the Employee Relations Advisors and People Service Administrators, ensuring efficient case management and team coordination.
Schedule and attend regular meetings with Heads of Faculties and Divisions to discuss employee relations matters and provide updates.
Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Lead on complex employee relations matters, including reorganisation, redundancy, and TUPE.
