About the Company

A leading construction company with a large presence throughout Scotland are recruiting for a Commercial Administrator, or aspiring Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team, based from offices in West Lothian. This business turnover £200m a year and deliver recession proof work within the power infrastructure sector, which involves the build, maintenance and refurbishment of overhead power lines, substations and windfarm connections. With a huge pipeline of work awarded, the business now require an experienced Commercial Administrator or up and coming Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Raising Early Warning Notices

• Manage the CE’s (Compensation Events) and get them agreed with the client for payment before work has taken place.

• Validate the AFP (Application for payment) with Delivery Team Project Manager

• Validate the Joint Measure on a weekly basic with Client.

• Asset in all commercial needs of the business

• Manage Sub contractor payments & Queries.

What's Required

Ideally you have worked in a construction, house building or utilities related sector in a similar role and can demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and interface with various stakeholders. Basic understanding of financial concepts and data analysis.

What's on Offer

A basic salary between 25-30k + package which includes bupa private healthcare, company pension, and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Full details are available on request
